Kitty Hall - Chief Executive
Kitty Hall, Chief Executive and co-founder of ARKeX, has a background in gravity geophysics. She led the spin-out of ARKeX from its founding companies ARK Geophysics (where she was MD) and Oxford Instruments. She has more than 25 years experience in management, sales and business development in airborne and marine geophysics. She is a geologist by training and holds an MSc in Stratigraphy.

Dr John Lumley - Chief Technology Officer
Dr John Lumley, co-founder of ARKeX, is the chief designer of the EGG technology which he developed while Director of Technology of Oxford Instruments Superconductivity. He is a world expert on low-noise, low-temperature instrumentation. He has more than 25 years experience in leading scientific and engineering teams.

Ian Bastow - Chief Financial Officer
Ian Bastow holds an MBA with Distinction from London Business School and is a Chartered Management Accountant. Before joining ARKeX he was Finance Director of Parc Technologies, a VC-funded technology start-up that was sold to Cisco Systems in August 2004. Prior to this, Ian worked as Finance Director, EMEA for a division of Rockwell Corporation.

Gary Jones - Non-Executive Chairman
Gary brings international geophysical contracting experience at the highest level to ARKeX. He is a former President of WesternGeco and of Western Geophysical, and Vice President at Baker Hughes. Gary has substantial technical expertise in applied geophysics and has successfully implemented strategies for profitable growth in large and small oilfield service companies.

 

Leif Andre Skare - Non-Executive Director
Leif Andre is an engineer with 3 years experience in the oil service manufacturing sector (and 5 in corporate finance and private equity).

 

Dr. Nick Wood - Non-Executive Director
Nick is an engineer who has 20 years in technology management and business development with companies like Scientific Generics. He brings to ARKeX extensive experience of managing risk in complex technology programmes.

John Siegfried - Chief Operating Officer
John joins ARKeX with over 25 years of industry experience. He has worked in all aspects of operations from Party Chief on field crews for Western Geophysical, to Global Operations Manager for Western/Baker Hughes. Most recently, as Global Operations Support Manager for WesternGeco/Schlumberger, John guided the product development centres in Norway, delivering reliable and tested new technology to marine field crews.

Jeremy White - VP Engineering
Jeremy is a co-founder of ARKeX. Leader of the instrument team at OI prior to the spin-out and subsequently at ARKeX, Jeremy is a highly experienced instrument engineer and project manager in low temperature instrumentation gained during 15 years with Oxford Instruments. He holds a PhD in low temperature physics (Oxford) and an MBA.

Mark Davies - Chief Scientist
Mark is a geologist with worldwide experience in the interpretation of geophysical data, notably potential field data. In 2002 Mark was awarded the British Association for the Advancement of Science’s prestigious Charles Lyell Medal for his work in the communication of science to a general audience. The award followed a series of television and radio programmes written and presented by Mark. Most recently he presented the very successful series "Extreme Archaeology" on Channel 4.

Phill Houghton - VP Sales
Phill is a co-founder of ARKeX. He has worldwide oil industry experience with more than 25 years in sales, technical development and gravity surveying gained with ARK Geophysics, MGAL, Oceonics, and the Royal Navy Hydrographic Office. He is an electrical engineer by training.

Paul Versnel - VP Geoscience Services
Paul joined ARK Geophysics ten years ago as interpretation geophysicist and held the position of MD for the past four years. Before joining the oil industry, he worked in the mineral exploration industry as Senior Geophysicist with Gold Fields of South Africa. He holds a joint degree in geology and geophysics with post grad in geophysics (University of Witwatersrand, South Africa). He also holds an MBA.

Phil Jones - Operations Manager
Phil joined ARKeX from nearby British Antarctic Survey. Phil brings a wealth of experience in airborne gravity operations having led nine consecutive field seasons in Antarctica, acquiring a variety of geophysical datasets including magnetics and radio echo sounding data as well as gravity as part of BAS’s programme of exploration on the Antarctic Peninsula and Ronne Ice Shelf.

Dr Neil Dyer - VP Processing
Neil is a geophysicist with over ten years experience of acquiring, processing and interpreting geophysical data for the oil and gas industry. Neil has previously worked for GSI, HGS, BiPS and TGS Nopec. He also holds a PhD in geophysics.
