Our goal is to deliver a geological interpretation based on the integration of the potential field study with local, regional and analogue geological information. The central aim is to address the key petroleum system uncertainties and risks and show how the potential field data can improve understanding of these geological issues. Gravity and magnetic data and analyses can often deliver independent insights into the elements of a petroleum system. It is our aim to focus on extracting this interpretive value from potential field data.
Whilst potential field data forms the basis of our interpretation projects, the workflow aims to deliver geological answers and in order to achieve this we utilize a multi-disciplinary workflow which draws upon all available geological and geophysical data. Depending on the scope of the work, projects are typically worked on by more than one interpreter besides the lead project investigator. All our work is peer reviewed at key stages throughout the project to ensure technical integrity and quality control.
The interpretation objective is to derive a consistent earth model which will honour the available geological and geophysical data. Typically, these projects draw on potential field data, seismic data, and geological control. Whilst not trying to replicate our client’s internal exploration capabilities, we have the in-house technical expertise in the disciplines of potential field geophysics, seismic interpretation and structural geology to offer a multi-disciplinary approach to interpretation projects.
