Forent Advances Nova Scotia Reef Oil Project with ARKeX Gravity Gradiometry Survey
May 13 2010, Cambridge, UK
Forent Energy Ltd. has announced that it has signed a definitive agreement with ARKeX for a $US 1.4 million gravity gradiometry survey of its Alton Block in Nova Scotia, which is anticipated to commence later this month. Forent explored a number of alternatives in order to determine how best to delineate the reef-prone portion of the Alton Block and concluded that the ARKeX survey would provide the most efficient and cost effective way of gaining the detailed geological information needed over such a large area.
The Alton Block in Nova Scotia has two prominent hydrocarbon plays - reef oil and shale gas. The gravity gradiometry survey will give Forent its first significant evidence as to the location of the potentially oil bearing reefs.
ARKeX's gravity gradiometer is a high bandwidth, high resolution 3D imaging system that can deliver a detailed picture of subsurface geology. Specifically, it will identify structural highs where reef structures tended to grow. After the structural highs have been identified, Forent intends to shoot a 2D seismic program early next year and to initiate a multi well drilling program in the summer of 2011.
About ARKeX
ARKeX provides geophysical surveys for the oil, gas and mineral exploration industry, using BlueQubeTM technology.
BlueQube is a cutting-edge technology that gives explorationists an accurate picture of subsurface geology. The key
technology in BlueQube is gravity gradiometry. It measures minute variations in the earth's gravitational field to
help image--from an airplane or ship-- oil, gas and mineral bearing structures deep underground. ARKeX, based in
Cambridge, UK, has offices in Sherington, UK, and Houston, USA, and has global operational capabilities.

About Forent
Forent is an on-shore oil and natural gas license holder in Nova Scotia with exploration licenses of more than
1.2 million net acres. The Company has identified an extensive inventory of oil and natural gas opportunities on
its Nova Scotia properties, including conventional Gays River carbonate oil & natural gas targets and a significant
Horton shale gas resource play. Forent's Nova Scotia properties are bisected by the Maritimes & Northeast natural
gas pipeline providing direct access to market for natural gas developments in the area and the region also offers
access to oil refineries for the processing of any future crude oil discoveries.
