ARKeX wins West Africa contract and orders third BlueQube system
October 29 2007
ARKeX announced today that in a continued expansion to meet the needs of the exploration industry, the company has ordered a third BlueQube system and won its first survey contract outside North America.
ARKeX's surveys are carried out from a light aircraft which all carry the BlueQube surveying technology. BlueQube delivers high resolution geophysical information, which is used for oil, gas and mineral exploration. The increase in capacity helps to meet the ever increasing demand for ARKeX's technology and services and follows hot on the heels of the delivery of ARKeX's second plane in July 2007.
"BlueQube's multi-disciplinary approach is providing clients with a complete picture of their sub surface geology and helping to establish a blueprint for exploration in areas with difficult terrain or technically challenging geology", said Phill Houghton, VP Sales ARKeX.
"With increased capacity, we will be able to better service the needs of our clients and continue to show how BlueQube technology can aid exploration, both inside and outside of North America".
ARKeX's first foray outside of North America will be in West Africa for an oil & gas client. West Africa has continued to be a successful area for oil & gas companies and as exploration trends look to onshore targets, BlueQube is an ideal technology for gaining a better understanding of the sub-surface geology.
"The region is an extremely difficult area to survey using traditional methods", said Kitty Hall, CEO ARKeX, "most of the project area is covered in thick jungle and difficult to access. The beauty of BlueQube is that we can fly above the terrain, obtaining high resolution geophysical information in a cost effective and timely manner"
The survey is due to start later this year and the third plane with its BlueQube technology will be delivered in the first half of 2008.
